The Lumex Runabout Series of Mobile Specialty Seating is a line of specialty healthcare seating without equal that brings new mobility to residents who would not or could not leave the comfort of their stationary recliners or chairs. The Runabout offers all of the comfort that Lumex Ortho-Biotic™ Seating is known for combined with ease of mobility. The Runabout was designed and developed by Lumex to offer residents the ability to comfortably move from room to room and socialize. The Runabout offers seating and positioning that is far superior to a standard wheelchair. With the many adjustments possible with the Runabout it is easy to customize the chair for every resident.

Standard Features:

• Comfortable, soft, supportive seat helps reduce “bottoming out”.
• Adjustable back bands add support where needed. Ideal for the resident with kyphosis.
• Armrests are padded for increased comfort and have wall saver edge guards.
• Vinyl upholstered back is sulfide stain, mildew and oil resistant.
• “Easy-Off” back upholstery is simple to clean and replace.
• 24" rear wheels feature a comfortable to grasp and easy to roll handrim.
• Easy to enga ge wheel locks for added safety.
• Overall width of 27.5" allows the Runabout to pass through most standard doorways.
• Adjustable rear anti-tip devices are standard.
• Height adjustable arms. The arms adjust from 8” to 12” above the seat.
• Flip-back arms provide for an easier and safer lateral transfer and access to dining and activity tables.
• Height adjustment and flip-back feature easy-to-operate pull buttons.

Adjustments for the Perfect Ride:
• Seat wedge angle easily adjusts up to 10 degrees for individualized positioning of the resident and to help prevent sliding.
• Seat depth adjusts to 16", 17" and 18".
• Seat height adjusts to 17", 18" or 19".
• Optional infinite position tilt accessory for the 590 and 592 allows for 15 degree seat adjustment while resident is seated in the chair. Infinite position is standard on the 593.
• Weight bearing capacity: 225 lb.
