Description

Features of the Posey Nurse Call Adapter Cable Set:

  • You can connect the following Posey alarms: Sitter Elite (8345) KeepSafe Deluxe (8374, 8374NP) and Sitter Select (8361) to your facility’s nurse call system to communicate with the nursing station in one of two ways:

  • The 8282 will connect the alarm to a nurse call system if the wall outlet has a ¼” jack and you want to connect the alarm only.

  • If the wall outlet is not a ¼” jack or if you need a nurse call button in conjunction with the alarm, you will then require the Nurse Call Adapter Cable Set (adapter and nurse call cable). We offer the following set of part numbers that include both adapter and nurse call cable for use in tandem: 8235NCS, 8235NCA, 8235NCM, 8235NCMM and 8235NCJJ.

  • The adapter components of this set are based on the S, A, M, MM and JJ adapter versions.

To Connect the Nurse Call Cable Only:

  • Insert one end of cable into aperture labeled “Nurse Call” jack on the appropriate side of alarm (8345 right, 8374 left, 8361 left).

  • Insert other end of cable into wall jack of nurse call panel.

Connecting the Adapter to Nurse Call Cable:

  • If you require an adapter to connect to the nurse call cable to communicate with the nursing station:

  • Insert one end of the nurse call cable into one socket of the adapter.

  • Then place the nurse call cable system connector into the wall outlet.

  • Plug your existing call cord into the other socket of the adapter.

 Warning:

When using a nurse call cable, ensure the nurse call cable is plugged into both the alarm and wall jack before leaving the patient unattended. Verify that an alert is received at the nursing station if the cable is unplugged from the wall jack.

NOTE:

There will be no alert at the nursing station or at the bedside if the nurse call cable is unplugged from the alarm.
