Description
Modular System: The system includes a padded coaster base with locking casters and a variety of interchangeable foam modules. The base makes the entire system mobile, allowing a therapist to move a patient without having to reposition them.
Versatile Components: The system typically includes around 17 different shapes and forms, such as wedges, trapezoids, rectangular modules, rolls, and straps. These can be combined in many ways to achieve a wide range of adaptive positions.
Hygienic and Durable: The modules have a durable, non-toxic, and seamless Tumble Forms 2 coating that is easy to clean. It also features antimicrobial protection to prevent odors and the growth of microorganisms, making it a hygienic alternative to using unsanitary pillows or foam.
Latex-Free: The product is not made with natural rubber latex, which is important for individuals with latex allergies.
Transformative Design: The system can be used for passive positioning, but by attaching the included log to the base, it can be transformed into an active therapeutic system for vestibular stimulation.
Adaptive Positioning: Its primary use is to provide complete positioning support for therapeutic programs. It allows therapists to place patients in a variety of adaptive positions, including:
Prone (face down) and Supine (face up) positioning: To improve head control, shoulder stability, and prevent deformities in the lower extremities.
Side-lying positioning: To facilitate midline control and improve eye-hand coordination.
Sitting positions: Including long-leg sitting and roll sitting, to maintain or increase range of motion and enable the user to engage in activities while upright.
Vestibular Therapy: The system is an excellent tool for vestibular activities, which are used to improve a person's sense of balance and spatial awareness.
Preventing Contractures and Deformities: By facilitating proper body alignment, the system helps prevent muscle contractures and physical deformities.
Motor and Cognitive Development: The various positions and activities supported by the system are used to aid in a child's overall motor and cognitive development.
Clinical and Home Use: The system's versatility and mobility make it suitable for use in a variety of settings, including rehabilitation centers, clinics, classrooms, and at home.
