Features of the Ethicon Endopath Trocar:

To facilitate smooth entry, dilating-tip trocars have a sharp, flat-blade tip that leaves a smaller defect than pyramid-tip trocars. Less blade is exposed and lower force is required for penetration. Other features include a spring-loaded shield and a clear radiolucent, nonconductive sleeve that allows visualization during removal of specimen.
